With the V42 ReIssued, Vintage presents a fresh take on the popular V4 bass. This model has the same supple feel and the same versatile PJ pickup loadout that plants a Wilkinson WOPB split-coil in the middle position and a WOJB single-coil for classic J-style sound at the bridge. This flexible sonic duo covers a broad spectrum of classic sounds, all of which are framed by a satisfyingly rounded treble range.

The V42 ReIssued: Solid All-Around

The tight-and-deep, almost piano-like core sound stems from an American alder body, which has been firmly bolted to a snug, soft C-profile maple neck — the same neck profile as Vintage's other popular basses. In addition to the pickups, Wilkinson has also supplied the hardware, so you're looking a set of WJBL175 tuners and a four-saddle WBBC bridge. This, in combination with the custom Graph Tech nut, is a classic recipe for solid tuning stability.
